Zivver and Kite have joined forces to help organisations better protect their sensitive information when sending emails and file transfers.
Kite is a UK focused, value-added distributor that specialises in bringing innovative and disruptive technologies to the UK channel. Their management have over 50 years of accumulated channel experience, including launching and building markets for some of the most readily recognisable security & networking brands around today.
Zivver helps organisations safeguard sensitive information when sending emails and file transfers with their easy-to-use integrated secure communications platform. Zivver meets the growing demand for security, privacy, efficiency, and user-friendliness in information sharing.
We interviewed Dave Marshall, Director at Kite Distribution Ltd and Steve Lloyd, UKI Regional Director at Zivver to understand more about this partnership and explain why they have joined together.
Q & A
Q1.) Why have you chosen to partner with Zivver?
Dave Marshall: “We are very excited to be partnering with Zivver and cannot wait to get started. Whilst relatively young, Zivver has built a strong presence in The Netherlands and has enjoyed a rapid growth since their inception in 2015 and our focus with Zivver is to grow their channel for their email security solution.”
“Data has become the new currency for many organisations and all cyber criminals and the need to safeguard this sensitive information is becoming more important. This can often be quite time consuming and invasive, but the key to a great product is one that works in the background and does not change the day to day working environment of its user and this is exactly what Zivver does. Once set up, Zivver works silently safeguarding your sensitive information. We are excited to start talking to our partners about Zivver and the benefits of partnering with them.”
Q2.) Why did you choose to sign with Kite Distribution?
Steve Lloyd: “We were looking for a distributor that wasn’t too big where we would be an insignificant vendor, but one that had a good mix of security technologies in their portfolio and strong partner relationships. This is key as we are looking to aggressively grow out our channel community, being a partner first organisation.”
Q3.) Why is it a good time to become a Zivver partner?
Steve Lloyd: “Last year was a tough year, I think we can all agree with that, despite the challenges we faced we managed to significantly grow our pipeline, beat our competitors and bring on new customers to the Zivver platform. Whilst in this current climate partners are sticking to the technologies they know that will drive revenue, for them to grow they need to look at new technology especially disruptive ones, to give them the advantage. There will always be the need to protect data as there will always be data breaches caused by human error, the figure the ICO currently publishes is 80%, therefore there will always be the need for Zivver.
Q4.) What are the current challenges and opportunities you are seeing in the market?
Steve Lloyd: “Many companies are worried about the future and how Covid will affect them in the long term. This is leading to projects being put on hold and they are only releasing budget when necessary. As I mentioned, there will always be data breaches caused by human error that organisations need to address, these are compliance issues, and they won’t go away. We are seeing more and more organisations who are addressing this as part of their email security and Zivver has a place here. Zivver is a best of breed technology. In 2020 Gartner released an update of its Market Guide for Email Security. The report named Zivver as one of five global representative Email Data Protection Specialist vendors.
