Later this month, golfing pros will be gathering at Wentworth for the BMW PGA Championship. But we think we’ve got an overall more entertaining counterpart in the form of our annual Kite Partner Golf Day!

At 8.15am, our golfers arrived at the prestigious Woburn Golf Club for a day of (unsurprisingly) golf. After fuelling up with a breakfast of cobs and croissants and shooting a few practice balls, our players headed out to tee off.

Possibly as payback for the scorching hot summer, this time our intrepid teams had to brave some of the first rain showers of September – but brave them they did, putting on some fantastic sporting displays (possibly spurred on by the promise of the legendary Woburn sausage rolls at the halfway house).

Play concluded at 2.30pm, when our golfers dried off and headed on up to the Hay Room for drinks, a three-course meal, and of course, networking!

After dinner, it was time to hand out prizes, which included Woburn vouchers, Thales sponsored golf shoe bags, ThreatDown Titlest Golf Balls, and The Rangefinder, sponsored by ThreatDown – a veritable golfer’s treasure trove.

So, who were our worthy winners? We’d like to say a huge and well-deserved congratulations to:

Mark Finch, Lizzie Coleclough, and Luke Smalley – 3^rd Place – Nett 56
Jeff Williams, Nicky Stanton, and Phil Simms – 2^nd Place – Nett 55
Laurence Nutt, Matt Wild, Gary Cox, and Michael Bays – 1^st Place – Nett 52

It isn’t just a team game, though, and there are a couple of individual displays of excellence that also need to be acknowledged – a further congratulations to:

Lizzie Coleclough – Longest Drive
Matt Wild – Nearest the Pin

Of course, events like this don’t just happen without a considerable amount of support – and so we’d also like to say another big thank you to our vendor sponsors for the day: Infoblox, Thales, ThreatDown, and Keeper.

Onwards and upwards – keep an eye on our events page for our next Kite partner event!
